A climate bill with no impact on climate: The governor’s energy bill explained

In this interview on the John Carlson show March 1, state Sen. Doug Ericksen describes the real effect of Gov. Jay Inslee’s bill requiring 100 percent zero-carbon electricity by 2045. Contrary to what the governor and other advocates have claimed, it won’t increase snowpacks, reduce droughts, prevent forest fires or improve the lives of polar bears. But it is a good way to increase electric bills, set the stage for brownouts, and fulfill campaign slogans that run bumpersticker-deep.
