Sen. Doug Ericksen invites Whatcom County business owners to participate in a regional small business forum from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. this Thursday at the Bellingham Sportsplex.
“This is a great opportunity for Whatcom County business owners to meet with policymakers and elected officials,” said Ericksen, R-Ferndale. “I encourage folks to come get updated about issues like regulatory reform and workers’ compensation, and more importantly, to share their thoughts about the challenges facing their business.”
The forum is being hosted by the Washington Policy Center, an independent, non-partisan think tank. Ericksen will speak about the impact of health care reform.
“Health care is one of the biggest issues facing small businesses today,” Ericksen said. “We’ll look at what the federal reform effort means for them, as well as what they can expect in the coming legislative session.”
Additional information on the forum can be found on the Washington Policy Center’s webpage for the event.
